About This Training
This Professional Development (PD) training is for Southeast Asian English teachers, exploring culturally responsive, arts-integrated, and multilingual approaches. It focuses on leveraging student strengths and cultural diversity.
What You'll Gain

Who Should Attend?
- Elementary or secondary English teachers interested in ELT with arts, culture, and GCED themes.
Requirements:
- Minimum B1 English (TOEFL/IELTS equivalent).
- At least 3 years of teaching experience.
Training Highlights
- Innovative ELT Methods: Explore culture, GCED, and identity through workshops on narrative, calligraphy and arts-based toolkits.
- Cultural Immersion: Connect GCED with visits to local cultural sites (Batik Museum, Angklung performance); linking place, language & values.
- Practical Lesson Design: Develop lesson plans through labs, microteaching, peer review and action plan for GCED educators.
Bring: ELT materials, personal laptop, any local culture or arts-based teaching aids.
Funding: Scholarships cover local transport, accommodation, and training fees. Participants are responsible for their travel to and from Bandung, and personal allowance.
Format & Venue: On-site in Bandung, West Java. Combines classroom sessions with experiential learning at cultural sites.
