Announcement: Regional Training on Online Teaching Methodology

for Indonesian Language for Foreign Learners (ILFL)

Are you a non-native Indonesian speaker?

Are you an ILFL teacher or interested in teaching Indonesian language online?

Let's join our online programme, Regional Training on Online Teaching Methodology for Indonesian Language for Foreign Learners (ILFL), and enhance your teaching skills! This training will be conducted online for 10 sessions, held every Tuesday and Thursday (except on Indonesian national holidays) from 2:00 to 4:15 PM (Jakarta Time/GMT+7), from April 22 to June 3, 2025.

Training Objectives

The objectives of this programme are :

• To enhance participants' pedagogical and professionalism competences in ILFL online teaching
• To deepen participants' understanding of Indonesian culture

Materials

The materials of this programme are as follows.

• Indonesian language and culture
• Teaching materials for beginner ILFL learners
• Online teaching strategies

Activities

The activities of this programme are as follows.

• Accessing materials presentation
• Participating forum discussion
• Designing online teaching materials
• Designing lesson plan
• Conducting online teaching simulation

Facilities

The facilities of this programme are as follows.

1. Waiver fee for the training programme
2. E-certificate

Trainers

The trainers of this training are native & nonnative ILFL senior teachers 

Participant Requirements

The following are participant requirements.

1. Must be non-native speakers of bahasa Indonesia
2. Must be citizens of non-Indonesian countries, preferably of Southeast Asian nationality
3. Currently teaching ILFL to adults at the beginner level (preferred) or not yet teaching ILFL but having the interest to teach ILFL
4. Proficient in both spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia, as proven by a certificate from an ILFL institution at least at ILFL Level 4/intermediate level, or a UKBI test certificate at the "madya" level (if available)
5. Committed to participating in all training activities
